PENN Surfblaster IV is a long cast reel designed primarily for surfcasting and saltwater fishing from the shore. The long spool, high line capacity and precise line lay system are well suited to distance casting from beaches and rocky coastlines.
The Slow Leveline system provides tight and even line lay on the spool, helping the line leave the spool smoothly during the cast. The XRC Carbon body supports the internal mechanism under load, while corrosion-resistant components make the reel suitable for regular use in saltwater conditions.
Both models feature 4 bearings and a front drag with a maximum power of 12 kg. The 7000 size weighs 526 g, has a 4.8:1 gear ratio and retrieves approximately 98 cm of line per handle turn. The 8000 weighs 617 g, uses a 4.3:1 gear ratio and retrieves approximately 100 cm per turn.
The 7000 size is well suited to general surfcasting, while the larger 8000 offers greater line capacity for situations where extra casting distance and line reserve are required. PENN Surfblaster IV is available in Black/Grey and Silver finishes.
